LaVista CSA Farm
Learn with a hands-on approach about the process of making tasty maple syrup and its history. TNI’s Patti Brown will lead a hike through maples trees with a background of tapping and the biology of the trees. Then Eric Stevens, LaVista CSA Farm will demonstrate how to tap and collect the sweet water with everyday items and how to boil the water off. After, taste the newly created syrup!
The group will meet at the entrance to Oblates, located at 4350 Levis Lane in Godfrey, and the hike will begin at 1 p.m. Dress for the weather as we will be outside for the majority of the course.
Registration is required and the space is limited to only 30 guests. Entry is $10 per person or $8 per TNI member, with proceeds benefiting both missions of The Nature Institute and LaVista.
To register, please call (618) 466-9930 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
