Date(s) - Wednesday February 13
10:00 am - 11:00 am
The Nature Institute
Get a head start on nature education with this program for little ones, ages 3-5 years. This group meets the second Wednesday of the month September through April (8) with an option of the morning or afternoon session.
Classes are $5 per child per session or register for all eight sessions and get one class for free! Each child will have a snack and take home a book that is related to the session. An adult must accompany child.
February’s session is all about cones. No not ice cream cones! We will learn about the packages of seeds that grow on conifers. We will take a walk through a pine forest and see if we can find some of the hardest to find seeds on our preserves.
This year we will discover together the full cycle of native plants: seeds, flowers, pollinators, importance of decomposition, and uses of plants to name a few. Join us once a month to learn about all these awesome organisms.
There are two sessions per day (same curriculum, different opportunities to learn.)
Morning session 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon session 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY- Only 10 children per session. NO WALK-INS PLEASE. Older siblings may attend but may not be able to participate in all activities.
