DESCRIPTION:Each year\, The Nature Institute closes the trails to give the 
 land a rest for the winter. This allows staff to perform any large mainten
 ance projects without disturbing the enjoyment of hikers. It also gives th
 e wildlife a chance to relax during their most stressful time trying to fi
 nd food.\n\nWhile the trails are closed to hiking\, The Nature Institute i
 s still open and offers programming throughout the winter.
