Making Global Connections Through Universal Issues

Hear from those behind the scenes and come learn how local students are learning about water issues within their communities and worldwide through the Swarovski Waterschool program.

Natalie Marioni, Swarovski Waterschool USA Coordinator, will lead you through exciting projects in which participating classes are involved, where you can go to watch the documentary, and how you can be involved in the community watershed activities conducted by our area students.

L&C’s National Great Rivers Research and Education Center is the headquarters of the newest Swarovski Waterschool, the first and only of its kind in North America.

The primary goal of this program is to educate people living alongside the Mississippi River about the human connection to and reliance on healthy and functioning river ecosystems. We hope to not only educate students but also inspire them to positively impact their communities.

The documentary “Waterschool” is now streaming on Netflix.

This discussion is a part of TNI’s monthly adult education series and is free for current TNI members and $5 for non-members. To register, fill out the form below
