If you are looking for a fun weekend of learning about Lewis & Clark check out the departure event. Volunteers from The Nature Institute will be helping out at the event.
Celebrate the departure of Lewis & Clark as they set out on an expedition of discovery. Reenactors, historic artisans, and more will celebrate this important date!
Demonstrations will include artillery, muskets, candle making, fiber arts, cooking, and more. Volunteers will show off the replica of the White Pirogue the Expedition journeyed in. Scheduled presenters will share their knowledge in the Interpretive Center theater. The Departure Event runs from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday. This event is great for all ages and interests!
