Classic Flicks for Conservation

All movies this year will feature an episode of the 1939 movie serial “The Phantom Creeps” as a pre-film short.

Transformers, those robots in disguise, turn 40 this year, so cozy up with a blanket for a movie on the lawn and celebrate these films featuring robots! This free event takes place monthly from April through October. Watch a classic movie on our giant inflatable screen. Bring your own seating (lawn chairs or blankets), as well as your own snacks. No alcohol is permitted. See below for our upcoming presentations. No pre-registration required. While this event is FREE, donations are welcome! Limited parking is available, so arrive early to grab your seat.

Metropolis - April 20, 8pm

Sci-Fi: In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city's mastermind falls in love with a working-class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences.

War of the Planets - May 18, 8:30pm

Sci-Fi: A strange signal arrives on the Earth disturbing all communications, while a UFO appears above the Antarctic sea. Captain Alex Hamilton is sent with his spaceship and crew to the space outside the Solar System to find the origin of that signal. They reach an unknown planet where a giant robot enslaved a whole population of humanoids by taking their psychic energies. The robot's got his eyes on the Earth, too.

Transformers: The Movie - June 22, 8:45pm

Sci-Fi/ Animated: The Autobots must stop a colossal planet consuming robot who goes after the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. At the same time, they must defend themselves against an all-out attack from the Decepticons.

Wall-E - July 20, 8:30pm

Sci-Fi/ Animated: In the distant future, a small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

The Iron Giant - August 24, 8pm

Sci-Fi/ Animated: A young boy befriends a giant robot from outer space that a paranoid government agent wants to destroy.

The War of the Robots - September 21, 7:30pm

Sci-Fi: An alien civilization, which facing eminent extinction, kidnaps two famous genetic scientists from Earth. A troop of soldiers is dispatched to combat the humanoid robots and rescue the victims.

Robot Monster - October 19, 7pm

Sci-Fi/ Horror: The monstrous Ro-Man attempts to annihilate the last family alive on Earth, but finds himself falling for their beautiful daughter.
