Have you ever wanted to learn how to read a compass and try and navigate the outdoors? Here is your chance! Bring yourself or a team of up to 6 people to learn how to navigate unfamiliar terrain. You will be tasked with finding dreaded invasive plant species (the enemies of our trails), and discover ways we vanquish them. Courses are based on hiking difficulty, not navigation difficulty.  Drop in for a map reading and compass lesson at 10 am, 11 am, or 12 pm then use your new skills to navigate yourself/team through TNI. This is an unguided adventure: follow your map and use your compass to finish the course (takes approximately 30 min to 1 hour per course).   Be sure to wear hiking shoes, bring a reusable water bottle, and dress appropriately in layers. We will have a compass for you to borrow and a prize for groups that finish. Preregistration required, please fill out form below to sign up. Rain or Shine.
